The Wilderness Is Calling

When was the last time you did something simply because it sounded fun?
For years, we’ve watched campers leave Camp Two Roads with sun-warmed smiles, new friendships, and stories they’ll tell for years to come. We’ve also heard the same question from parents, volunteers, and supporters:
“When do the adults get to go to camp?”
Our answer is simple: Now.
Introducing Pearl Weekend, a women’s adventure retreat hosted by Shooting Star Adventures. Designed for women ages 21 and older, this fall weekend is an opportunity to step away from the demands of everyday life, reconnect with your adventurous spirit, and enjoy the simple joy of camp—surrounded by an incredible community of women.
Whether you spent your childhood at summer camp or always wished you had, Pearl Weekend offers the chance to unplug, try something new, make meaningful connections, and leave feeling refreshed.

There isn’t a “right” way to experience Pearl Weekend.
Maybe you’ve always wanted to paddle a canoe across a quiet lake, climb a rock wall, or learn a new outdoor skill. Maybe your idea of the perfect weekend is creating something beautiful in a crafting workshop, sitting around the campfire with new friends, or finally making time to finish one of those DIY projects you’ve been meaning to tackle for months.
Let’s be honest—we all have a few.
We’ll provide dedicated space for personal crafting projects, so bring your knitting, embroidery, scrapbook, painting, crochet, diamond art, quilt blocks, or whatever creative project has been waiting patiently at home. Sometimes the best inspiration comes from spending a weekend creating alongside other women.
You’ll also have opportunities to enjoy hiking, nature exploration, outdoor cooking, team games, camp traditions, and plenty of laughter throughout the weekend.
No outdoor experience is required, and there’s no pressure to participate in every activity. Choose the adventures that excite you, skip the ones that don’t, and make the weekend your own.

Life has a way of filling every available moment.
Between careers, families, caregiving, appointments, errands, and endless notifications, it’s easy to put yourself at the bottom of the priority list. Pearl Weekend is an invitation to press pause.
Spend the day exploring the outdoors, learning something new, or creating with your hands. End the evening around a campfire sharing stories, laughing with new friends, and enjoying the kind of conversations that don’t have to end because someone needs you.
Whether you come with your mom, daughter, sister, best friend, coworker—or arrive on your own—you’ll quickly discover what camp has always done best: bringing people together.

Pearl Weekend is more than a weekend getaway—it’s an opportunity to invest in your community.
As one of Shooting Star Adventures’ annual fundraising events, proceeds help provide camp scholarships, improve programs, and ensure more children have the opportunity to experience the confidence, friendships, and personal growth that happen at camp.
When you register, you’re giving yourself an unforgettable weekend while helping create life-changing experiences for the next generation of campers.

If you’ve ever watched your child come home from camp wishing you could experience that same sense of adventure—or if you’ve simply been looking for a weekend to reconnect with nature, creativity, and yourself—Pearl Weekend was created for you.
Adventure doesn’t have an age limit, and neither does discovering something new about yourself.
Come paddle a canoe. Create something with your hands. Laugh around the campfire. Make new friends. Finally finish that craft project you’ve been carrying from room to room for the last year.
Most importantly, give yourself permission to take a weekend that’s just for you.
Registration is now open, and we can’t wait to welcome you to Pearl Weekend this October.
