Cabin Counselors (Cabin Staff)

Camp Two Roads – Cabin Staff Application

Girls entering 10th grade or above. Counselors work with Senior Staff to ensure a successful week for all campers. They lead a cabin, mentor counselors-in-training, and guide younger campers during activities and cabin programs. Each counselor is responsible for 8-12 campers with a co-counselor’s support. A refundable $50 deposit is required for new counselors to hold a spot. Upon arrival, you can apply the deposit as camp store credit or request a refund. No-shows forfeit the deposit.

This training helps older campers transition into future camp leaders while still enjoying the camper experience. Completing one or both levels prepares candidates for success as camp counselors. Note that this does not guarantee a future staff role and is not required to apply. All applicants must complete a CIT Application for consideration before registering as a camper.

CIT Level 2  (prior completion of CIT 1 required)

Level 2 builds on leadership skills with hands-on experience. CITs will assist in various camp roles, gaining further leadership skills while supporting cabin areas and camp activities.

CIT Application Process

  • A CIT application, including 1 letter of recommendation and 1 reference (non-family), is required by May 1st.
  • Applicants who pass the screening will be interviewed by phone.
  • After acceptance, camper registration is required. If not accepted, applicants can still register as regular campers (unless they’ve completed CIT 1).

In the event a CIT is later accepted as a counselor:

  • the $50 camper deposit will be changed to the $50 counselor deposit. – refundable after completing the week at camp as a cabin counselor.
  • Any additional registration fees would be refunded.
  • CITs who promote to Cabin Counselor during the week of camp are not eligible for additional stipends.
